01 / Who is responsible

Habitat Architecture

Habitat Architecture, based in Shkodër, Albania, is responsible for personal information handled through this website and direct studio correspondence.

02 / Information processed

Only what is needed.

• Technical information. An IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and security events may be processed automatically by the hosting and content-delivery providers.
• Language choice. The English or Albanian preference is stored locally in your browser so the site can remember it.
• Enquiries. The contact page prepares a message in your own email application. Project Compass processes answers only in the browser and creates a local PDF or text summary; it does not currently submit information to Habitat Architecture.
• Project files. Plans and inspiration files selected in Project Compass remain on your device. Only their names appear in the locally generated summary; their contents are not uploaded, stored or embedded in the PDF.

The website does not currently keep a separate database of submitted enquiries.

03 / Why it is used

To operate the site and respond responsibly.

Information may be used to deliver and secure the website, understand aggregate site usage, respond to a request, understand a potential commission, maintain necessary professional correspondence and meet applicable legal or administrative obligations.

Habitat Architecture does not sell personal information, use it for third-party advertising or make automated decisions about visitors.

04 / Local storage and cookies

No advertising profile.

The site stores only the selected language in your browser’s local storage. Project Compass answers are kept temporarily in the open page and are cleared when it is closed or refreshed. The studio’s first-party analytics measures requested pages, referrer hostnames, approximate country, device type, operating system and browser. It does not use an analytics cookie or store raw IP addresses; a one-way pseudonymous hash is used to estimate visitors.

You can remove the language preference at any time by clearing this site’s stored browser data.

05 / Service providers

A small technical circle.

Vercel provides public website hosting. Host.al provides the private analytics endpoint and database infrastructure. OpenAI Sites may provide a managed preview. Sanity provides the content system and delivers published project images. The studio’s email provider processes messages you choose to send.

These providers may process limited technical information under their own terms and may operate infrastructure outside Albania. Links to Instagram and Facebook open services with their own privacy practices.

06 / Retention and security

Kept only for a reason.

Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the enquiry, manage a potential or active professional relationship, maintain appropriate records, and comply with applicable obligations. Detailed first-party analytics records are automatically deleted after 90 days. Technical logs are retained according to the relevant hosting or content-delivery provider’s settings.

Reasonable organisational and technical measures are used to protect information. No method of internet transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

07 / Your rights

Your information remains yours.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, and a copy of information you provided where applicable.
